◆自己紹介◆ 私は公立の高等学校の先生として約16年間働いています。 幼少期の頃から、イフガオの様々な文化や伝統、慣例をならうために、家族やコミュニティの中でその場に立ち会ってきました。このような経験と身に付けた先住知識が私を理解と感謝の念、独特で美しい価値観、心構えとコミュニティが持つ技の会得へと導いてくれました。 しかしながら、私が得たこれらの先住の知識と技の多くを私は子供たちに伝えられていないことに気がつきました。私は近い将来、子供たちにこのような慣例が軽視され完全に忘れられることを恐れています。 ◆農業との関わり◆ イフガオの農民は土地の準備から、草や害虫の処理と維持管理、土壌の肥沃管理、水の管理、収穫とその記録といった様々な農業慣例において幅広い知識を持っています。彼らは最高の収穫を達成させるために従ってきた専門的な方法を持っていました。 これらの慣例は正式に学校では学びませんが、次の世代へと口頭で伝えられてきました。それは大人の男女のみならず、全ての年代において行われてきました。 彼らの農産物の例として挙げられるのが、米、芋(camote)、野菜、魚、家畜といったものたちです。 ◆コミュニティの問題◆ 最近は多くの若い人たちは、より現代習慣や科学技術慣れ親しむことでコミュニティの中で学識のある人となることを求めており、文化に対する意識はなくなり、作業習慣とそれに関する技を得られなくなっている。この場合それは、次世代には先住の知識と技が消え去ってしまうかもしれないという警告を意味している。 ◆期待すること◆ 私がこのプロジェクトに期待することは、先住の知識や技、習慣を先生たちの学校のレッスンにおいていかに結びつけ教え込むかを指導してもらうことと、演劇芸術を生徒たちに知識を伝えるための多くの策略の中の一つとして利用させることを期待しています。

GUINDAYAN (27) アサンプション・アカデミー(マヨヤオ町) Assumption Academy /Mayoyao ◆自己紹介◆ 私はマヨヤオ町のアサンプション・アカデミーで数学を教えています。 ◆農業との関わり◆ 農作業についていうと、両親が農家である家庭で育ったけれども、多くの知識は持っていません。また私の母は、もし私が田んぼに行ったら頭が鈍くなるという観念を持っていたため、いつも私に勉強に専念するように言っていました。週末もまた、両親と田んぼに行く代わりに私は弟や妹たちの面倒を見ていました。 ◆コミュニティの問題◆ ・化学合成の肥料や殺虫剤の過剰な使用 ・“Fungru“ ・不作法なゴミの分別 このトレーニングを経て、農業の楽しさをより感謝できるようになること

DULNUAN (48) キアンガン国立高校アネックス Kiangan National High School -Annex/Kiangan ◆自己紹介◆ 私は現在イフガオ州キアンガンにあるキアンガン国立高校のエクステンションであるムンガヤンMungayang校で教師をしています。2005年から2016年まではイフガオ州アギナルドAguinaldoにあるアギナルド国立高校で教えていました。2016年の6月から今に至るまでキキアンガン国立高エクステンションでの任務についており、数学とそのほか、道徳?(Education appreciation/ Edukasyong pagpapahalaga)や体育といった教科を教えています。 ◆農業との関わり◆ 私は大規模でシンプルな農業に携わっています。私たちの家庭は12人兄弟で、両親共に農家ですが、私たちの土地ではなく借地で行っています。 私が小学生から高校生の頃、私たちはいつも焼畑へ行き両親の草刈りを手伝っていました。私たちの両親は生き延びるために畑作業を教えてくれましたが、教育を優先すべきものとしていました。
